An unscheduled stop is always fun, however an overnight stop a mere 2.25 hours into your trip is a bit odd.
Here we are in Vegas and its 99 degrees. Alice is here to save the day. She gets our luggage out, calls a cab, pets the dog, and finds us a mechanic. While the mechanic is checking out the plane, we head to the nearest hotel for a massage, dinner and a little, very little bit of gambling. Turns out nothing is wrong with the plane, I simply made the mistake of not having a critical power setting set upon run up.
Massage was great, delicious dinner, and we blew $40 in 3 minutes on the slots. I don't have my father's touch. Tomorrow is bright new day in the desert, and we'll be "wheels up" by nine am. Some of you may think I said "heels up" because we are in the land of naughty...but rest assured, we're on our way.
